Medical Care



La Clínica is one of the largest health care providers in the Columbia River Gorge. We have 2 sites (Hood River and The Dalles), 14 physicians and 3 physician assistants. One of our physicians is a pediatrician, the first in Hood River. All our providers are bilingual in English and Spanish. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality medical services for the whole family, including:

  • preventive services (yearly exams for men, women and children, immunizations, screening tests like Pap smears and mammograms, flu shots)
  • health education services for pregnancy, breastfeeding, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and healthy weight management
  • care for acute and chronic medical problems in adults, children and senior citizens
  • pregnancy care (including deliveries) and family planning services
  • care for children from birth through age 18
  • walk-in visits and urgent care
  • immunizations
  • minor surgery (mole removal, suturing, vasectomy, circumcision)
  • casting and splinting for bones and joints

Also, we have “packaged” services for pregnant women and people with diabetes.

  • If you are uninsured and pregnant, all your prenatal care, including lab work and physical exams, plus your delivery can be provided at a set, discounted fee. That makes it easy to know which services you need in your pregnancy, and helps make having a baby affordable.
  • If you are uninsured and have diabetes, we offer all of your routine preventive diabetes care as part of a package. The fees are discounted, and you can pay a very low fee each month for a year’s worth of services. These include 4 visits with your provider to discuss your diabetes and have a foot exam (one every 3 months), 2 HbA1C lab tests to check your diabetes (one every 6 months), 1 Lipid panel lab test to check your cholesterol, 1 urine test done at La Clínica lab to check kidney function, 1 Flu vaccine, As many Salud Program diabetes education visits as you need, no Medication Assistance Program fee for one year, 1 complete physical exam with your provider. With the package, you know what you need to take care of your diabetes, and we make it affordable!
