The Patient Services Representative Hood River (& in The Dalles, as needed) - Performs a variety of clerical, reception and administrative tasks including: answering and thoroughly screening patient calls, taking detailed messages and entering them into the EMR system, efficiently scheduling patient appointments while updating provider schedules throughout the day, pre-registering patients appropriately, maintaining high patient confidentiality, and assisting with in-coming/out-going mail.  Required:  Bilingual English/Spanish skills; One (1) year of customer service experience with the general public; and Two (2) years of clerical, reception, medical or dental assisting, administrative or secretarial experience in a medical/dental setting or healthcare insurance organization; or A combination of equivalent education and work experience.  Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.  FT, Regular Status.

Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) - Hood River with some time spent in The Dalles - Provide direct patient care and support to assigned dental providers. General duties include patient intake and processing, chair-side assisting, patient education, and pre and post-op instruction.  Additional duties include set-up, clean up, sterilization, quality control checks and performs radiographic surveys as prescribed by the dentist Performs child prophylaxis and places sealants.  Required:  High School graduate or equivalent; EFDA certification; X-ray certification; current CPR certification; Proficient in English  Preferred:  Current DA certification and minimum 3 yrs experience; Bilingual English/Spanish skills.  FT, Regular status.

Dentist – Hood River - Provides direct dental care to all ages of patients within the dental department. This includes performing oral examinations, diagnosing dental conditions, performing dental procedures, and documenting dental care in the patient’s dental record. In addition to direct care and documentation duties, the dentist participates in the department’s clinical quality monitoring and peer review programs as well as participates in meetings and education programs. The dentist also provides input to the dental director and administration as requested.  Required:  Graduate of an accredited dental school (DDS or DMD); OR Dental License; Current Healthcare Provider CPR; Current DEA; 1 – 5 yrs exp. in general dentistry practice.  Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.  FT, Regular Status.

Physician - continuous posting - Hood River: Qualified candidates will have: Full scope Family Practice. BE/BC Family Physician with OB experience - C-Section experience preferred). Share call one (1) in five (5) with local primary care physicians. Inpatient practice at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital. Spanish language (intermediate or above) required. Full-time regular status, but will consider other arrangements. Both Sites: Eligible for loan repayment (scholar under review) - http://nhsc.bhpr.hrsa.gov/

  

Dental Assistant – continuous posting- Hood River/The Dalles - Provides direct patient care and support to dental providers. General duties include patient intake and processing, chair-side assisting, patient education, and pre and post-op instruction. Additional duties include set-up, clean up, sterilization and quality control checks. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification; experience as a dental assistant, effective communication, customer service, and computer skills. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. FT/PT may be considered, Varied hours M-F.
